5 months since an update...

it's obvious now that its hard for me to take blogging seriously, this has turned into a journal for myself and a constant reminder on how much i don't like to recreationally write. i love reading these damn blogs but when it comes to making one of my own i seem to fall very very short...

anyways ->

school is almost over and the changing of seasons is in effect, my 20th anniversary of existence is about to be celebrated and for the first time i can start to feel the speed of life picking up. it feels like the birthdays come and go faster and faster every year, which gives me an almost daunting sense of reality and responsibility as i venture farther and farther away from my care-free years. as i pause to observe the reality that i participate in everyday, i find things to be very strange and surreal. the world i wake up in isn't the one that i thought it would be a year ago, and i'm not sure if its' my vision that was flawed or a mis-step in the course of life that landed me where i am today. regardless of my feelings in the present, my thoughts are always focused towards the unknown future and whatever promises or adversities it might bring. simply put "if it isn't working out just how you planned it, maybe your the one who doesn't understand it" -the grouch.

at least the yankees are pulling it around, arod putting in some work was a nice sight for sore eyes. as i'm writing this, a little sweep of the twins has just occurred and the yankees starting to show glimmers of the team thats going to win the AL east this year. granted there is still alot more work to do in the bullpen and starting pictching, but thats nothing 50 million cant fix. for the lakers... its about damn time they clean up the rockets, i was tired of looking at ron artest's terrible haircut plastered all over the screen for 7 games (around 6 1/4th if you count suspensions)

los angeles lakers in the western conference finals anybody?
time to add another year to the banner baby

too long

have i neglected this blog. new semester of occ and new possibilities on the frontier.

in this dismal world we live in, its amazing to see the amount of people who have clung to this barack obama "hope" wave. i've always felt that the perceptions of the majority actively define the reality that we wake up to everyday. so if everyone is rocking though this dreadful time in our world economy with the belief that this man is going to rise above it all and some how spark the world back into order, it's most definitely possible. in the meantime, i'm trying to make strides to worry more about the present and future than the past. sometimes i feel that being too analytical and comprehensive hurts me in the present, i draw over thought assumptions and conclusions just because i don't take that step back, a deep breath and go as it comes. it seems foolish to say that an intellectual view on certain aspects of life is stupid and harmful, but as i continue to eat, breath, and think in this world, the more i realize that the perception that you give off at any one time seems to be the most important thing, but only true and vast knowledge can prepare you for the perfect perception all the time.

good to see some justice being served in the sports world. this season i've viewed 16 cardinals games (thank you nfl sunday ticket), i've followed almost every failed hb toss, every big catch by larry fitz, anquan boldin, stevie b. and all the good and bad balls from my main man kurt warner. the only time this team surprised me this season is when they were tanking a bunch of games before the playoffs. i've been simply blown away by kurt's play this season and how NFL ball hawks cant seem to out elevate quan' and fitz. i've been joking around with my friends and family all season, making preposterous claims like they are going all the way and kurt warner is getting a 3rd MVP and stuff along those lines. but after the 1st round playoff game between the cardinals and the atlanta falcons, i knew this could be it. for some reason or another the defense had turned itself back to the defense i was watching in the first 10 games of the season, kurt seemed to completely shrug off all pass rushers and keep his eyes posted on the prize down field all day. now much to my dismay i've been listening to bill simmons and most espn/nbc/nfl network analysts put my boy kurt down, especially during the end of the season. now i realize he may have lost contention for the MVP but don't completely put the guy out the picture, history has shown most quarterbacks don't start off the season incredibly well then all of a sudden fall off the face of the planet and single-handily pull their team out of playoff contention (like many were saying this season). aside from my love for kurt warner, pittsburgh is one hell of a football team, their defense in my opinion gives the 2000 ravens a run for their money. on the other hand their offense has many o' questions to be answered, such as a injured hines wards impact and if they can outscore the cardinals high powered attack. granted their defense gives them a play or two to keep it close, but there is no way pittsburgh (in my opinion) can nearly come close to outscoring the cards in this one. i have arizona taking it 28-17

if anyone takes to time to read this, mass kudos. these are the thoughts in my world, take them as you will.

brilliant weekend

i came out 2 for 2 on my predictions and my boy kurt warner ended up having a decent game. the texas was one of the best i've ever seen and most likely the best game of the year, texas has earned the top spot of the country hands down. they are going to have a major battle to keep the #1 spot next week when they host #11 missouri.

entourage wasn't that bad either, it seems now-a-days every other episode is just a lead-in to the other. filled with pieces of never-ending plot that gets wrapped up in the next episode. contrary of previous seasons of entourage where almost every episode had some twist or scene that was the topic of conversation the next day. still, i cant wait till next sunday!

for all you mac fans, el jobso is dropping new macbooks today, and the guys over at engadget already have a sneak peak of what they look like. gotta love people who stay dedicated 24/7, they will also cover the "official" release of the new macbooks 10am pdt.

don't forget, new south park wednesday night on comedy central
until next time

one small step for this blog, one giant step towards my interest...

due to the help of a good ol friend, miss rachel nguyen, i'm back to stay with this blog business. she made it decent enough for me to spend time tweaking and adding to this masterpiece. stay tuned for mass procrastination in the near future when it comes to updates.

( the list )
  • i am very grateful for the help i received in making this happen, for i was too lazy to create a foundation to build upon. head over to thats chic and scope almost 2 years of rachel's blurb about the fashion world and herself.
  • saturday: we have arguably the best day of college football all year, but two games in particular stand out. in the morning we have
    • 1 OKLAHOMA vs. 5 TEXAS - the red river rivalry is especially distinctive this year due to both teams being ranked in the top 5, and you can almost guarantee the loser will drop out of the top 5 and quite possibly the race for a national championship. texas is standing behind their star qb colt mccoy, and why wouldn't you, the guy has 16 touchdowns in 5 games and is leading the nation in completion percentage 79.2% (min 15 attempts). oklahoma has an equally hot qb of their own in sam bradford and a solid two-headed rushing game in demarco murray and chris brown. still i envision oklahoma having trouble walking into the cotton bowl and containing mccoy though the air and on the ground. i have texas upsetting oklahoma in a barn burner 24-23. early morning game for us on the west coast make sure to catch it on ABC at 9am pst
    • 4 LSU vs. 11 FLORIDA - at nightfall we have not only a great matchup between sec powerhouses but also marks the first time in history that the last two national championship teams will play against each other. after that blunder last time in the swamp, you can expect tebow and the gators to play with a little extra "sum-sum" on their shoulders this week, i have the florida over lsu 35-27. the game will be nationally televised on cbs so make sure to watch the eleventh ranked florida gators host the fourth ranked lsu tigers in gainesville, fa. 5pm pst
  • sunday: tune in to kurt warner around 1:15 pm pst to watch him toss up a storm against a injured cowboys secondary that are going to be missing a key players in terrence newman and roy williams. looks like the cowboys defense are going to be leaning on corners adam "pacman" jones and anthony henry to make big plays in an effort to try to stymie kurt warner's hot streak. for the sake of my fantasy team lets prey kurt signed himself up for at least 300 yards and 3 touchdowns this week. (coverage of the cardinals vs cowboys depends on your location) later in the evening, pan over to HBO for a new episode of entourage.
update hopefully after the weekend
toodles
